HER husband Keith Urban is battling the bottle in a US rehab clinic, but Nicole Kidman found comfort in family and the Hollywood community yesterday - retreating to the Los Angeles home of fellow actor and best friend, Naomi Watts.

Reunited with her sister Antonia Hawley, Kidman looked distressed as she left Watts' luxury home, clutching her nephew Hamish close and ducking into a waiting car.

Watts welcomed the Kidman clan over for the "tea and tissues'' session, as the emotional impact of Urban's relapse took its toll on his loved ones.

Friends and family have closed ranks around Kidman, who has been left devastated and feeling abandoned by her new husband's addiction.

Urban apologised for the hurt he'd caused his wife and family in a statement last Sunday, confirming he had checked himself back into a rehab clinic for treatment for alcoholism.

Antonia and her young son flew out of Sydney on Wednesday to comfort Kidman through Urban's birthday - a particularly difficult day for his lonely wife.


In just four months, Kidman has gone from celebrating her wedding to the country singer, surrounded by the same family and friends who dhave rallied around the actress now.

With the couple's Nashville home all but abandoned, it is believed Urban is under medical supervision at an LA dry-out facility, with Kidman staying at her Hollywood home to be nearby.
