北京奥组委执行副主席蒋效愚8日在北京透露，北京奥运会门票价格将充分考虑中国观众的消费能力。北京奥运会门票总数预计约有900万张左右，届时会通过媒体对北京奥运会门票方案进行充分的宣传推荐，方便大家购买。

Tickets to the Beijing Olympic Games will be affordable to ordinary people.

Jiang Xiaoyu, deputy executive president of the Organizing Committee, BOCOG, made the pledge Tuesday during an online exchange with internet users.

He says the tickets for the Beijing Olympic Games number around nine million. Part of the tickets will be offered to the public through domestic and international ticket sales agencies.

Meanwhile, the torch relay route of the Beijing Games is still in discussion.

Jiang says, a plan may be submitted to the International Olympic Committee in December this year.

He disclosed that the route will cover all of the country's provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, including Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions and Taiwan province.

In addition, Jiang says the selection of Olympic mascots is also in the process.
