2004年美国微软公司推出了一套键盘和鼠标，可利用“指纹读出装置”来识别用户，这样就使用户在使用个人电脑和上网时变得更加容易。

　　Microsoft Corp. unveiled a new array of keyboard and mice, with some featuring built-in fingerprint readers to make it easier for users to log on to personal computers and Web sites.

　　 Log on的意思是“进入系统”，等于log in. 例如：In order to log in to the system, you have to type in a special password.（为了进入该系统，必须键入特殊的通行密码）。Log off/out的意思则是“退出系统”。

　　常用的计算机术语如下：

　　cursor（光标）；interface（界面）；password（口令）；Browser（浏览器）double click（双击）；page setup（页面设置）；CPU(Center Processor Unit)（中央处理单元）等。
